{"id":4431,"date":"2023-08-25T17:07:36","date_gmt":"2023-08-25T10:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kamnotra.io\/en\/?p=4431"},"modified":"2023-08-25T17:09:26","modified_gmt":"2023-08-25T10:09:26","slug":"30-cpp-lawmakers-withdraw-from-national-assembly-in-their-first-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kamnotra.io\/en\/2023\/08\/30-cpp-lawmakers-withdraw-from-national-assembly-in-their-first-week\/","title":{"rendered":"30 CPP Lawmakers Withdraw From National Assembly in Their First Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A quarter of Cambodian People\u2019s Party lawmakers who were sworn in just this week are now leaving the National Assembly, according to the National Election Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of the 30 withdrawing lawmakers \u2014 22 of them \u2014 have already been announced as cabinet ministers, so will remain in the government while making way for more CPP party members to join parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NEC\u2019s document is dated Thursday, August 24, and says it is based on a request from the CPP from the same day, and affects 17 provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eight of the 30 withdrawals are not ministers. One of the eight, Chou Vichet of Kandal, does not appear on earlier candidate and lawmaker lists. He is instead listed as a secretary of state of the Finance Ministry.\u200b At least six of the remaining seven have also been identified to have government
