A former military commander was made a minister delegate, a provincial police chief a prime ministerial assistant, and 2,001 police officers received medals of achievement in book 93 of the Royal Gazette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The gazette\u2019s book No. 93 for 2022, publicly released by the Council of Ministers on June 14, contains 33 government decrees from January through November last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kamnotra has already highlighted<\/a> the appointments of four local administrators as assistants to Prime Minister Hun Sen, including Phnom Penh deputy governor Khlaing Huot, a former Chroy Changva district governor; and Chroy Changva deputy governor Keo Chansunnary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, nearly 60 pages of the book are taken up by a list<\/a> of 2,001 police officers from across the country who received a medal of achievement in a sub-decree signed by Hun Sen on November 25, 2022. They are described as being recognized for serving the country in maintaining security and public order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Elsewhere, Chea Dara, former deputy commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces who was made rector of the National Defense University and personal adviser to Hun Sen in 2018<\/a>, was appointed<\/a> as minister delegate attached to the prime minister in a royal decree dated November 22<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The position is additional to his current responsibilities, the decree says. Chea Dara has made<\/a> headlines<\/a> in the past for pledging the military\u2019s support for the ruling Cambodian People\u2019s Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The book also contains the appointment of Em Kosal<\/a>, at the time the Kampong Cham police chief, as assistant to Hun Sen, and medals given to 135 people who donated a combined $2.9 million for constructions at five pagodas in Banteay Meanchey, Kandal and Preah Vihear provinces.
